I am a website designer and developer based in Charlotte, North Carolina. I specialize in user interface and user experience. I am available for full-time, part-time, contract, and freelance work.
I create useable, scalable, and professional websites using standards compliant code as set forth by the W3C, resulting in semantic and SEO friendly XHTML and CSS. When my clients need a site with its own content management system I use either WordPress or the SilveStripe Framework for general ease of use and familiarity. My primary programming language is PHP 5 with a nice MySQL backend.
I primarily hand code my sites and use a wide variety of products from the Adobe family to achieve the desired results. This includes but is not limited to Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash. I use the W3C's validation service to make sure all of my work is clean, semantic, and strict.
I am a firm believer in the Agile approach when it comes to working with my clients. The Agile approach is all about listening to the needs of the client and creating value for the client more quickly. If you would like to know more about the Agile approach, please click here.
Aside from writing markup language and code, I also work with Rich Media. I do every, and anything from video production and editing to sound clean-up and restoration. Interactive Flash development and ad design are something that I also enjoy developing and designing.
I currently live in Charlotte, North Carolina where when I'm not designing or developing, I'm surfing the web, getting my hands dirty in developing for the iPhone, learning Java, and just generally being an all around geek!
Totally redesigned and developed the site from a tabled design into STRICT XHTML 1.0 and CSS 2.1. The client wanted a minimal design approach with a "strong yet non-intrusive" color scheme.

XHTML/CSS design with heavy implements of Flash. Setup the original framework of the site as well as creating Flash banner ads, surveys, and other rich media applications. I have not worked on this site in two years and cannot take responsibility for the game design or newer applications that have been introduced. Most of my rich media work can only be seen when you trigger a prize winning event. I no longer have any input on this project or the site itself.

This WordPress theme is even more far out than the last one. Originally I found this design on the six shooter site. It was written in XHTML/CSS/AJAX as a stand-alone sight. I got rather bored one evening and decided to port it over to WordPress. It’s named “Accordion” because, A> that’s the name of the main AJAX script that it uses, and B> I’m totally unoriginal at the moment.
Tools: XHTML, CSS, AJAX, JQuery, PHP, Fireworks, Wordpress.

EasyGrey is a custom made template for use with WordPress. It was designed with the potential for a mid to large level music (or anything really) site. It’s extremely easy to update and modify for the non-computer savvy people out there. You need a very LIMITED knowledge of HTML to make this theme work for you. It’s all custom code and strays from your typical WordPress themes.
Tools: XHTML, CSS, PHP, Photoshop, Wordpress.

This is an icon set for the open office suite that are compatable with any flavour of object docks. The colouring is consistant and they have a small amount of gloss with some shadowing. I guess in current terms you could say they are "Web 2.0", but not as obnixious as others that I've seen.

Here we have an icon set for the Adobe CS4 Master Suite that can be used with any dock or as desktop icons. They work in Win, Mac, and *nix enviorments. There are three different sets included in the .rar file, the only difference between the three being the colour schemes. The first theme follows the default Abobe colour theme for each product, the second theme is totally black and white, and the third is a take on the Adobe colour scheme but toned down a bit so it doesn't scream as much.

This is just a scalable design I came up with one night for a site and rather liked it so I thought I'd throw it up here for anyone that wants to use (abuse) it. Nothing too fancy as you can see, some reflection, some beveling, better than any "real" productions I tried using a white box and camera.

Originally I had my résumé embedded into this page itself, but due to the requests for different formats I have decided to split it up to make it easier for everyone involved. Hopefully this will solution will work a bit better.
